Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Welcome to Bhutan
Arrive in Paro with breathtaking views of Himalayan peaks such as Jumolhari and Jichu Drake. Upon landing, a representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, explore Rinpung Dzong, visit the ancient Kichu Lhakhang - Bhutan’s oldest temple - and end the day at Drugyal Dzong, built in the 17th century to commemorate Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan forces.
Day 2: Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike – Thimphu
After breakfast, embark on a hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched at 3,180 meters. The round-trip trek takes about 4–5 hours, with lunch served at a mountainside cafeteria along the way. After visiting the monastery, descend and drive to Thimphu for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha via Dochula Pass
Following breakfast, travel to Punakha via Dochu La Pass (3,100 meters), where you can enjoy panoramic Himalayan views on clear days. The scenic drive passes through lush forests and riverside rice fields. In the afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most impressive and historically significant fortresses.
Day 4: Punakha – Paro
Begin the day with breakfast and a morning visit to Punakha Dzong. After lunch, return to Paro, stopping en route at Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley. Arrive in Paro by evening.
Day 5: Paro – Kathmandu
Fly to Kathmandu and explore three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, then continue to Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site. Conclude the day at Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world.
Day 6: Kathmandu – Chitwan
After breakfast, drive to Chitwan, home to Nepal’s first national park and a UNESCO-listed site. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a jungle safari or nature walk to spot wildlife such as deer, one-horned rhinoceroses, and possibly Bengal tigers. In the evening, attend a presentation on the park’s ecosystem.
Day 7: Chitwan Exploration
Start early with an elephant-back safari through grasslands. After breakfast, visit the elephant stables and participate in an elephant bathing experience. In the afternoon, choose between a jungle drive with a canoe ride on the Rapti River or birdwatching and nature walks.
Day 8: Chitwan – Pokhara
Travel to Pokhara, known for its serene lakes and Himalayan views. Upon arrival, visit Davis Falls, a unique waterfall flowing into an underground channel, and explore Shiva Cave, which houses a sacred shrine.
Day 9: Pokhara – Kathmandu
Early in the morning, head to Sarangkot to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Later, enjoy a boat ride on Phewa Lake and visit Bindyabasini Temple. In the afternoon, fly back to Kathmandu and enjoy a farewell dinner.
Day 10: Kathmandu – Lhasa
Take a scenic flight to Lhasa, passing over some of the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and rest for the remainder of the day to acclimatize to the altitude.
Day 11: Lhasa City Tour
Begin exploring Lhasa with a visit to the iconic Potala Palace, followed by Norbulingka Palace, the former summer residence of the Dalai Lama. End the day at the Tibet Museum, which showcases Tibetan history and culture.
Day 12: Lhasa Exploration
Visit Drepung Monastery, once one of the largest monasteries in the world, and Sera Monastery, known for its monk debates. Continue to Jokhang Temple, a sacred pilgrimage site, and stroll through the vibrant Barkhor Bazaar.
Day 13: Ganden Monastery Excursion
Travel to Ganden Monastery, located atop Wangbur Mountain at 3,800 meters, offering stunning views and rich history. In the afternoon, visit Drayerpa Cave, a peaceful meditation site with numerous ancient caves. Return to Lhasa in the evening.
Day 14: Departure from Lhasa
Your journey concludes today. You will be transferred to the airport in time for your departure flight, marking the end of an unforgettable Himalayan adventure.
