Day 1: Arrive in Paro – Welcome to Bhutan & Opening Ceremony
Arrive in Bhutan and be welcomed into a space of calm and intention. The journey begins with an opening circle, inviting you to slow down, arrive fully, and set personal intentions for the retreat.
Take part in a traditional blessing and cleansing ceremony, designed to release negative energies, restore balance, and gently prepare your mind and spirit for the days ahead.
Engage in the sacred practice of Tsa-tsa making, followed by a personalized astrology reading (Tsip), offering insight into your life path through Bhutanese spiritual wisdom. Conclude the day with a group blessing led by a lama.
Day 2: Thimphu – Cultural Connection & Creative Workshops
Begin the morning with a grounding Qigong session, awakening the body and breath. Visit the Memorial Chorten, immersing in Bhutan’s living spiritual culture.
Participate in a hands-on incense-making workshop, where natural elements such as herbs, woods, and resins are transformed into sacred offerings.
In the afternoon, venture into nature for a foraging and natural dyeing experience, reconnecting with the rhythms of the earth while discovering Bhutan’s traditional relationship with plants and colors.
Day 3: Dochula Pass – Nature Immersion & Meditation
Journey to Dochula Pass, where you will hang prayer flags as a symbolic act of intention and release. Continue with meditation in secluded caves, inviting stillness and inner reflection.
Practice Qigong in the forest, surrounded by pristine Himalayan nature, followed by a walk across Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge.
Unwind with a traditional hot stone herbal bath, allowing deep physical relaxation. As the day softens, enjoy a peaceful riverside sundowner; a moment of quiet presence, reflection, and gentle connection.
Day 4: Punakha – Sacred Sites & Culinary Experience
Begin with sunrise Qigong, harmonizing body and mind. Visit Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten and the majestic Punakha Dzong, connecting with Bhutan’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
Experience a traditional Bhutanese cooking lesson, discovering how food becomes a form of mindfulness and cultural expression.
End the day with relaxation and a sundowner, integrating the day’s experiences in a serene natural setting.
Day 5: Paro – Journey & Monastic Experience
Travel to Paro, exploring hidden gems along the way including a secret garden and private estate. Upon arrival, wander through Paro town before visiting Neyphug Monastery and Menchuna Goenpa.
Participate in an evening puja, stepping into the rhythm of monastic life and deepening your connection to Bhutan’s spiritual essence.
Day 6: Paro – Dharma Teachings & Mindful Living
Begin the day with morning prayers alongside monks, followed by a Qigong session in a monastic setting.
Attend a Dharma talk by a respected Rinpoche, offering practical insights into mindfulness, compassion, and living with awareness.
Later, take part in a meaningful cooking experience for the monks, preparing simple, nourishing meals as an act of humility, gratitude, and service. Conclude with an evening puja.
Day 7: Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike & Fire Puja
Embark on the iconic Tiger’s Nest hike, a deeply symbolic journey through pine forests and mountain paths leading to Bhutan’s most sacred monastery.
After the hike, enjoy a traditional farmhouse lunch. In the evening, participate in a fire puja ceremony, a powerful ritual to release obstacles, cleanse energy, and invite renewal; marking a moment of personal transformation.
Day 8: Paro – Departure
