Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

The trail starts with a steady climb along a shaded ridge, opening to viewpoints overlooking Paro and the Do Chhu valley. Along the way, you’ll pass Chhoe Chhoe Tse Lhakhang, a small mountainside temple. As the trail climbs higher, enjoy views of Paro Airport and distant Himalayan peaks before entering a peaceful forest that leads to a wide meadow filled with chortens and prayer flags.
Spend the night near Bumdra Monastery, where you can explore the sacred cave or take an optional hike to a nearby peak for even more impressive views.
