Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu
Welcome to Bhutan, the Land of the Thunder Dragon. Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, meet your guide and transfer to Thimphu, the capital city. Today is dedicated to relaxing and adjusting to the altitude while easing into Bhutanese life.

- Buddha Dordenma: Visit one of the world’s largest seated Buddha statues overlooking the valley.
- National Memorial Chorten: A vibrant spiritual site where locals gather for daily prayers.
- Motithang Takin Preserve: See Bhutan’s distinctive national animal in a peaceful forest setting.
- Thimphu Town Walk: Explore Clock Tower Square and Norzin Lam, lined with cafés and artisan shops.

Day 2: Paro Valley Highlights
Travel back to Paro and explore its cultural and scenic landmarks.
Highlights:
- Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest): A memorable hike to Bhutan’s most iconic cliffside monastery.
- Kaja Throm Market: Discover local produce and handmade crafts.
- Paro Town Walk: Enjoy a relaxed stroll through traditional streets and local shops.

Day 3: Trek Begins – Talung (3,000 m) to Sagala Camp (3,600 m)
Distance: 17 km | Duration: 6–7 hours
Begin trekking along the Halung Chhu River, passing through tranquil pine and fir forests before reaching open meadows and unique rock formations. Stop for a picnic at Khadey Gom, often dotted with wildflowers.
The final climb leads to Sagala Camp, offering panoramic views of Mount Jomolhari, Paro Taktsang, and both Haa and Paro valleys. Wildlife such as Himalayan monals, pheasants, and musk deer may be spotted along the way.

Day 4: Sagala (3,720 m) to Ningula (3,800 m)
Distance: 10 km | Duration: ~6 hours
Today’s route follows scenic alpine ridges filled with rhododendron shrubs and seasonal wildflowers, creating a vibrant natural landscape. You may encounter local herders moving between grazing grounds and spot wildlife such as monals or goral.
Arrive at Ningula campsite, where sunset views of Jomolhari are especially stunning.

Day 5: Ningula (3,800 m) to Chele La Pass (3,756 m) – Drive to Paro
Trek: 7–8 hours | Drive: 2 hours
Your final trekking day takes you through forests, open meadows, and high ridgelines. The route via Gung Karpo Ridge (around 4,000 m) offers some of the trek’s most spectacular mountain views.
Upon reaching Chele La Pass, your vehicle will transfer you back to Paro for a comfortable rest.

Day 6: Chumphu Monastery Hike
Duration: ~8 hours return
Take an off-the-beaten-path hike to Chumphu Nye, a sacred pilgrimage site hidden in the hills. The trail follows a peaceful riverside path before climbing to a revered monastery known for its floating statue of Dorje Phamo.
Enjoy a picnic surrounded by nature before returning to Paro. This day offers a tranquil mix of spirituality and natural beauty.

Day 7: Departure from Paro
Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure. Leave Bhutan with lasting memories of its landscapes, culture, and quiet spiritual charm.
